Holiday Pay Rules
Regular Holiday: 200% of daily rate if worked, 100% if not worked (provided employee was present on the working day immediately before the holiday).
Special Non-Working Holiday: No work, no pay. If worked: 130% of daily rate for the first 8 hours.
Special Working Holiday: No additional pay for work performed, but follows regular workday rules.
Deadline Computation
Under the Rules of Court, if the last day of a period falls on a non-working day (including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays), the deadline is automatically moved to the next working day.
Only officially declared holidays by the Office of the President (through Proclamations) are recognized for deadline purposes.
Local holidays (e.g., city charter days) are recognized only within the specific locality.
